BRELAND & Busch Light Call for Real-Life Fan Stories for Next Country Anthem

BRELAND & Busch Light Call for Real-Life Fan Stories for Next Country Anthem

If Your Pen is on Point, Submit Your Story Between July 23 and August 13

New York, NY – July 23, 2024 – Country music is known for its authentic storytelling that mirrors real-life stories of hard work, heartbreak and everyday living. Fans of the genre love the relatable lyrics, and now a few lucky people will have the chance to really relate.

Busch Light and MULTI-PLATINUM recording artist BRELAND are inviting fans to share their real-life stories to be incorporated into a song by the “king of collabs,” as hailed by Associated Press, that is slated to be released later this year.

As an ACM LIFT EVERY VOICE AWARD-winner and mastermind for hits like “My Truck” (feat. Sam Hunt) and “Throw it Back” (feat. Keith Urban), BRELAND, aka “The Pen Point Guard”, is recognized for crafting meaningful lyrics and is ready to turn Busch Light fans’ real stories into a new country jam.

“Songwriting and producing is how I began my career in music. Nights turn into dawn when I’m entrenched in a song and putting the right flow to what I’m trying to say. Lyrics connect us all – artists and listeners alike. When Busch Light approached me with the idea of sourcing real-life stories from fans to build into my lyrics, there was no way I could turn that down. I can’t wait to hear these stories and create a song that we can all raise our glasses to.”

If your pen is on point, between July 23 and August 13, Busch Light fans can submit their own story or lyrics by following @BuschBeer and using hashtag #BuschRealLyrics and #Contest for a chance to be written into an upcoming BRELAND track.

“We know the stories of Busch Light fans’ lives are told over two things: country music and cold, smooth Busch Light. So to work with BRELAND and give our fans the chance for their stories to be told through a real country song - it’s a once in a lifetime opportunity!” said Krystyn Stowe, Head of Marketing Busch Family & Natural Family at ĢƵ-Busch.

For Busch Light, honoring country music isn’t new. The brand’s commercials stemming back to the 1980’s have touted the beloved ‘Head for the Mountains’ jingle - originally sung by late folk singer Hoyt Acton.

In recent years, the brand’s Busch Country platform has supported a wide roster of both established country artists and rising stars including BRELAND, along with,,,, and. The brand has also created once-in-a-lifetime experiences for fans to come together at country festivals, concerts and live music events – including as an official beer sponsor of CMA Fest, partnering with Professional Bull Riders (PBR) at rodeos across the U.S., and host exclusive ‘One Night Only’ tours with the top artists in the industry. With deep roots in the genre, Busch Light will continue to keep its cowboy boots on the ground and provide fans with unbelievable opportunities with their favorite music in 2024 and beyond.

Consumers can follow along @buschbeer on, and where entry details and updates will be shared.

ABOUT BRELAND

A truly one-of-a-kind force on the Country scene, BRELAND is reshaping the genre’s future with his fearless originality and visionary sound. With over 1.2 BILLION career streams to date, the fast-rising global sensation first broke through with his PLATINUM-certified debut single “My Truck” and soon set off on an unstoppable rise that’s now included embarking on an international tour, collaborating with many of Country’s biggest superstars, and earning massive acclaim from major outlets like NPR, The New York Times, and Rolling Stone (who praised the New Jersey-bred singer/songwriter/producer for merging “elements of Country, Hip Hop, R&B, Gospel, and Pop — in a way that many have not experienced before”). With his catalog including his critically lauded debut album CROSS COUNTRY — a 2022 LP featuring smash hits like the GOLD-certified “Praise The Lord (feat. Thomas Rhett)” — the Bad Realm Records/Atlantic Records/Warner Music Nashville artist recently ushered in the next chapter of his career with his early-2024 single “Heartbreak & Alcohol,” which he announced on ESPN’s The Pat McAfee Show. As the genre-bending slow-groover landed on coveted playlists like CMT Roundup, Entertainment Tonight’s New Music Friday, HITS Daily Double, and more, BRELAND began gearing up for his LITTLE MORE COUNTRIER TOUR: a headlining run that kicked off in March with his third annual BRELAND & Friends charity concert at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium. An unforgettably magnetic performer with stadium-sized appeal, the hitmaker has also brought his boundless charisma to an ever-growing list of high-profile TV appearances (including Good Morning America, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and TODAY) and in March 2024 performed the national anthem at the Big 12 Men's Basketball Championship in Kansas City. With his many accolades including winning the Academy of Country Music Lift Every Voice Award, BRELAND is now at work on more new music rooted in his mission of redefining the possibilities of Country and uniting fans from all walks of life.
